    I purchased this camera as a replacement for my broken RunCam 4 Airsoft. The build quality looks good but I was disappointed to learn that it's actually made of plastic instead of something stronger like aluminum. This will likely become an issue down the line as it gets hit by BBs. I'm certain the built in picatinny rail mount is prone to snapping off with moderate to heavy force, so be careful. The included lens protection is a good idea, but it being so thin I don't trust it to not shatter after being hit.

    As for image quality for the price, I'm satisfied. I'm shooting in 2.7K 60FPS. Controlling the camera and changing settings through the app is easy enough to do and works well. Though I wish there was more room to adjust the exposure compensation. RunCam, please update this in the app. More control is always better.

    One odd problem I had with the camera was that it wouldn't accept external power from a battery bank while it had a battery in it. I'm sure this can be addressed in a firmware update so please fix this. I also had problems with the camera stopping a recording and turning off. This happened multiple times, but only when I had a battery bank connected while running off of internal battery power. Removing the battery from the camera and powering it via the battery bank worked flawlessly.

    All in all I think the RunCam Scopecam 4K is worth the price I paid for it. Future versions should be more durable and functional on internal power, with a battery bank connected.

  4. Easy to install, light and good quality 4 Star Review

    Easy to install on airsoft. Lightweight and does not feel overweight. After 10 minutes of shooting in testing, the 4K image quality is excellent.

    I have yet to experience long periods of use.
    My concerns are the thermal issues with the unit and the battery, but as a result of owning a RumCam2, I don't think there will be any major problems.

    The only problem I have is that the protective cover attaches directly to the lens, so I'm a little worried that it will crack the lens of the camera when it is hit by a BB bullet.
